The honest version

Peels are the oldest tool in aesthetics because they work: a measured acid solution clears damaged surface layers so newer skin can take their place. The craft is in the grading. The right peel at the right depth at the right time of year, with recovery you were honestly told about beforehand.

We run peels on a ladder. Light lactic and mandelic peels brighten with no real downtime — a long lunch break covers it. Medium-depth TCA work goes after texture, melasma, and sun damage properly, with several days of visible peeling you plan around. At your consultation we place you on that ladder based on your skin, your tolerance for downtime, and the season — never on what happens to be promotional that month.

Who it's for

  • Dull tone and early sun damage that wants brightening, not aggression
  • Melasma and stubborn pigment (carefully, with the right acids and prep)
  • Fine lines and rough texture, especially around the mouth and eyes
  • Acne-prone skin that does well with salicylic-based peels

What's included

  • Consultation with honest depth-grading — including "your skin isn't ready for this yet"
  • Skin prep plan for deeper peels, because prepped skin peels safer and more evenly
  • Medical-grade peel systems appropriate for your skin type and tone
  • A written recovery timeline — what day the flaking starts, what day it ends
  • Post-peel kit with the barrier repair products your skin actually needs
  • A follow-up check for all medium-depth work, included in the price

What it can't do

Every treatment has limits. Here are this one's.

No peel we offer removes deep scarring or firms loose skin — depth that dramatic belongs in an operating room, not a treatment chair. Melasma responds but is managed, not cured; it can return with hormones and sun, and we will be honest that maintenance is part of the deal. And peels punish sun exposure during recovery — if you cannot stay out of direct sun for a week, book a different month.

Peels questions

Light peels: often just fine flaking, sometimes nothing visible — the work is happening beneath. Medium-depth: real sheeting for three to five days, usually starting day two or three. We tell you exactly what to expect for the specific peel you book, and we will not book a medium peel the week before your event.

Many are — with the right acid choices and proper prep, which matter enormously for deeper skin tones. Mandelic and lactic formulations are our workhorses here. This is precisely the kind of judgment a consultation is for, and it is why ours are complimentary.

Brightness shows within days of a light peel. Pigment and texture changes from medium-depth work reveal over two to four weeks as skin settles. Results vary by skin and by concern — a series, spaced properly, is where peels earn their reputation.
